2. Allergic rhinitis models

For instance, standard NHP models with all kinds of allergens, such as bovine serum albumin (BSA), ovalbumin (OVA), ascaris extract, SEA, or with various adjuvants, such as complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA), aluminum hydroxide gel (alum), lipopolysaccharide (LPS), bordetella pertussis vaccine, can be prepared within a fast turnaround time.

Sensitized animals can also be created at Creative Biolabs by either inhalation using intranasal, intratracheal or aerosol routes. At the same time, a full set of endpoint measurements are provided including eosinophil infiltration in nasal mucosa, serum level of allergen-specific IgE measured by solid-phase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), Th2 and Th1 cytokines levels measured by ELISA from the centrifuged serum and nasal lavage.

3. Rheumatoid arthritis models

Supported by a Ph.D. level scientist team, Creative Biolabs has managed to overcome the conventional limitations of NHP RA model and successfully induce RA in cynomolgus monkeys using type II collagen. NHP RA models developed by Creative Biolabs have proved good utility in rheumatology studies, inflammation related anemia and pain studies. A full set of evaluation and validation measures are available, including body weight, primary endpoints for evaluating arthritis, disease incidence, arthritic incidence of proximal interphalangeal joints, measurement of joint swelling, arthritic score.
